MARION, Ind. — A Marion man has been arrested for allegedly driving impaired when he crashed into the side of a school bus Wednesday, Sept. 4.
Witnesses told police a 2014 Dodge Charger blew through the traffic light and hit the side of the bus at the intersection of 4th Street and Baldwin Avenue in Marion. Police said the bus had the green light.
There were only two children on the bus at the time, and no one was seriously hurt.
Officers realized the driver was impaired and took him to the hospital, where he allegedly admitted to using heroin.
After he was medically cleared, he was taken to the Grant County Jail.
