INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Metro police have arrested a man in connection with the homicide of a woman who died downtown Saturday morning.
Officers were called to 200 E. Market Street around 10:30 a.m. to check on the welfare of the woman, later identified as Doneasha Galbreath, who was found in a vehicle and suffering from apparent trauma. Medics arrived on the scene and pronounced her deceased a short time later.
Investigators later learned the incident that caused Galbreath's injuries happened near W. 21st Street and Interstate 65, then the victim was driven to the downtown location.
Tuesday, IMPD announced that 23-year-old Ladriel Chapman had been arrested for his involvement in the 21-year-old woman's death. Court records show Chapman has been charged with murder, carrying a handgun without a license and two counts of neglect of a dependent, all felonies.
