Man arrested in Lawrence for offering drugs for Buffalo Wild Wings' fried pickles

Police arrested the man for possession of cocaine, dealing marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and contributing to delinquency of a minor.

LAWRENCE, Marion County — Police in Lawrence said they arrested a man from Indianapolis after he allegedly offered Buffalo Wild Wings workers marijuana in exchange for fried pickles.

Just before midnight on Jan. 14, employees called police to the restaurant on Pendleton Pike.

According to a court document, two men came inside after the restaurant had closed. One of the men offered juvenile employees what was believed to be THC vape cartridges if they opened the kitchen back up and made him some fried pickles. The man allegedly said, "If you make us some fried pickles, I'll make it worth it." That same man then allegedly gave three small bags of suspected marijuana to an adult employee to give to the juvenile employees. The adult employee notified the manager instead. Another employee later told police the man had offered molly or cocaine for food.

Police followed the man's car and approached him at a nearby gas station. Police said the man quickly got out of the car and had an ankle monitoring bracelet on him. 13News found the man had a prior incident of resisting law enforcement in Johnson County.
