MADISON COUNTY, INDIANA, Ind. — A Madison County man was arrested Thursday for arson after three fires at his home in the last three months, officials said.
Fire investigators with the East Madison Fire Territory, working with the Chesterfield Police Department, arrested a 19-year-old Anderson man Jan. 4 on three preliminary counts of felony arson.
"This fire investigation is a result of three separate fires at the suspect’s residence on Scotch Pine Drive in Union Township, which have occurred over the past 2 ½ months," the fire department said in a statement.
NOTE: 13News does not name suspects in cases until formal charges are filed by prosecutors.
Scotch Pine Drive is just east of Anderson city limits, near County Road 200 South and South 300 East.
The suspect was taken to the Madison County Jail. The Madison County Prosecutor's Office will make final charging decisions in the case.
