PERU, Ind. (WTHR) – A teenager has been sentenced to four years in prison for shooting and killing her friend back in February.
19-year-old Brayden Berkshire was accused of reckless homicide and obstruction of justice after Nathan Hopper, 18, was found dead in his home.
Court documents said Berkshire and Hopper were playing playing with a gun.
According to our partners at The Kokomo Tribune, Berkshire admitted to pointing the handgun at Hopper.
She said he told her to pull the trigger. She said she did not realize the gun was loaded.
Berkshire told police she had placed the gun into Hopper's hand to make it look like he had shot himself.
