INDIANAPOLIS — The Lawrence Police Department is investigating a deadly stabbing Saturday afternoon.
According to LPD, around 3:15 p.m. on June 22, officers were dispatched to the intersection of East 46th Street and Shadeland Avenue on a report of a person stabbed.
When officers arrived, they found a 51-year-old man in critical condition suffering from a stab wound. Medics transported the man to Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Marion County Coroner's Office identified the 51-year-old victim as Lonnie Naylor.
