Lafayette police arrest suspect in deadly stabbing

LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Lafayette police made an arrest in a deadly stabbing Saturday.

Officers responded to a report of the stabbing in the 500 block of New York Street, near South 5th Street, just before 10 a.m. Nov. 11 and found a man who had been stabbed and died at the scene.

The Tippecanoe County Coroner's Office will release the name of the victim once his family has been notified.

A 65-year-old suspect was found shortly after and was arrested for the murder.

(NOTE: 13News does not name suspects until charges have been filed by prosecutors.)
