MARION, Ind. — A Kokomo man was arrested after the deadly shooting of a man in Marion Wednesday evening.
Around 7:30 p.m. Nov. 15, Marion police officers and Grant County sheriff's deputies responded to the 700 block of South Miller Avenue, near West 8th Street, after a call for help.
At the scene, a female told police her boyfriend had been shot. A 25-year-old Marion man, identified by Marion police as Quentin McCool, was found with a gunshot wound and taken to Marion Health hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
The Marion Police Department identified a suspect in the shooting. A 25-year-old Kokomo man was located and taken into custody by the Kokomo Police Department.
He was arrested on preliminary charges of murder, attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.
