LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The attorney for John Miller says he and state prosecutors cannot agree where to move his trial.
Miller, a suspended Clarksville Police officer and current Clark County Councilor, is charged with benefitting from a relationship with Jamey Noel while also voting on his company's contracts.
Miller's motion to dismiss his case was denied last week, but Judge Larry Medlock approved his motion to move the case out of Clark County, citing substantial media coverage.
Miller's attorney is asking for either Hamilton, Allen, or Vanderburg counties in Indiana. According to a "notice of no agreement" filed Thursday, the state is asking for Greene, Daviess or Dubois counties.
The purpose of this order is to notify the judge of their inability to select a county, and ask him for next steps.
