BUNKER HILL, Ind. — Indiana State Police detectives are investigating a homicide at the Miami Correctional Facility.
ISP was called July 4 after the death of 23-year-old inmate Jamar Greer.
Greer was found stabbed in the chest around 4 p.m. in a day room at the prison. He was taken to a local hospital, but he did not survive his injuries.
Police said preliminary evidence shows Greer was stabbed with a homemade knife and a suspect has been identified.
The investigation is ongoing.
