MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (WTHR) — The Indiana Department of Correction has captured an inmate that escaped from the Indiana State Prison in Michigan City.
According to WNDU, police say 39-year-old Travis Hornett escaped from the prison Wednesday morning. Police described him as dangerous.
Police tracked Hornett down Thursday morning after he broke into a vacant home. The IDOC Fugitive Apprehension Unit arrested him and took him back to the prison.
He's now expected to face charges for escape and residential entry, in addition to serving his time for a burglary.
