FISHERS, Ind. — Fishers police arrested an Indianapolis man Thursday in connection with "more than five" auto theft cases in Hamilton County.

Montez Beech, 22, had an active warrant out of Marion County for auto theft and theft, according to online court records.

The Fishers Police Department says it was alerted by Noblesville police of several stolen vehicles earlier in the week. NPD also provided Fishers police with a description of the suspect's car.

Officers were able to use the description to locate the vehicle in Fishers near 126th Street and Reynolds Drive, just off of State Road 37. Using a drone, police found Beech asleep in the car and detained him without incident.

Beech now faces charges of unlawful carrying of a handgun with a felony conviction, theft, auto theft and two charges of unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle.
