FISHERS, Ind. — Fishers police arrested an Indianapolis man after his weapon allegedly went off around guests at Topgolf.
On Friday, Feb. 23, Fishers Police Department officers responded to a report of shots fired at the Topgolf on East 116th Street.
When officers arrived, most of the group had fled the area, but investigators identified a suspect, Anthony Hurd Jr.
On Tuesday, police served a warrant and took Hurt into custody. He had his initial court hearing Wednesday afternoon.
The Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office charged Hurd with criminal recklessness and unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.

Fishers police released the following statement on Hurd's arrest:
"Our officers/investigators swiftly gathered information to lead to the suspect's arrest. Again, the suspect, Anthony Hurd Jr, is a serious violent felon who had a gun, and he is a prohibited person, per Indiana Law, from possessing a firearm. We are glad to say another unlawful gun is off the street, and Fishers remains a safe place to live, work, and visit."
