PLAINFIELD, Ind. (WTHR) - A woman was arrested at a Plainfield prison for allegedly trying to smuggle in contraband.
Lisa Austin of Indianapolis visited the Plainfield Correctional Facility Saturday, when jail guards say she tried to bring in a package later found to hold Suboxone. That's a medication normally prescribed by doctors to help patients break their addiction to opioids, though it's an opiate itself and so can become addictive.
Austin is being held at the Hendricks County Jail pending formal charges.
