INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating nine shootings that happened around Indianapolis on New Year's Eve and early morning on New Year's Day.
In total, three people died and eight more were injured.

2 dead on northwest side
Police responded to a report of a vehicle crash at the intersection of Michigan Road and Grandview Drive, near West 51st Street, shortly after 5:45 a.m. Jan. 1.
Officers arrived and found a man and a woman who were in a pickup truck that had crashed off the road. An IMPD spokesperson confirmed both people died at the scene.
The Marion County Coroner's Office will determine the man and woman's exact manners and causes of death, but detectives believe both people were shot prior to the crash. Their deaths are being investigated as a homicide.
The Indianapolis Fire Department confirmed later on Monday that one of the people who died was engineer Justin Boyd II, 45, who was known as "JB" on the force and worked on Ladder 6 B Shift.
Tuesday morning, the Marion County Coroner's Office identified the second victim as 42-year-old Jasmine Ivy-Dede.
Boyd served on the department since May 27, 2014 and was a member of Recruit Class 79, and leaves behind a wife and two children.
IMPD arrested a suspect Monday night for his alleged role in the shooting.
1 injured on near southeast side
Police responded to a report of a person shot in the 2400 block of East Bradbury Avenue, near South Keystone Avenue and East Raymond Street, around 3:30 a.m. Jan. 1.
Officers arrived and found a 28-year-old man who had been shot. The victim is said to be "awake and breathing," according to IMPD.
Police have not shared information about a possible suspect or motive at this time.
1 injured on northwest side
Police responded to a report of a person shot in the 6400 Maidstone Road, near West 46th Street and North High School Road, shortly before 3:30 a.m. Jan. 1.
Officers arrived and found an 18-year-old male who had been shot. The victim is said to be in "serious but stable condition," according to IMPD.
Police have not shared information about a possible suspect or motive at this time.
1 injured downtown
Officers responded to a report of a person shot at the intersection of East Ohio Street and North Delaware streets shortly after 3 a.m. Jan. 1 and found a 26-year-old man who had been shot.
The victim was reported to be in serious condition, according to IMPD.
Police have not shared information about a possible suspect or motive at this time.
Person shot goes to Eskenazi Hospital
Police responded to a report of a person with a gunshot wound arriving at Eskenazi Hospital downtown around 2:30 a.m. Jan. 1.
Officers confirmed a 39-year-old man had been shot, and his condition is said to be stable, according to IMPD.
Police have not shared information about where the shooting happened or details on a possible suspect or motive at this time.
1 injured on near west side
Police responded to a report of a person shot in the 500 block of North Moreland Avenue, near North Tibbs Avenue and North Michigan Street, around 2:30 a.m. Jan. 1.
Officers arrived and found a 21-year-old man who had been shot. The victim is said to be "awake and breathing," according to IMPD.
Police have not shared information about a possible suspect or motive at this time.
1 dead on near north side
IMPD officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 3100 block of Boulevard Place, near North Capitol Avenue and West 30th Street, shortly after 1 a.m. Jan. 1.
When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot.
Medics transported the victim, who was initially listed in critical condition, to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Tuesday morning, the Marion County Coroner's Office identified the deceased as 40-year-old Bryan Foley.
According to a preliminary investigation, there was a fight among family members before the shooting took place.
While at the scene, officers detained a "person of interest," who was later released, pending further investigation.
Person shot goes to Ascension St. Vincent Hospital
Police responded to a report of a person with a gunshot wound arriving at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital on the city's north side around 1 a.m. Jan. 1.
Officers confirmed a 23-year-old man had been shot, and his condition is said to be stable, according to IMPD.
Police have not shared information about where the shooting happened or details on a possible suspect or motive at this time.
1 injured on east side
Police responded to a report of a person shot in the 11000 block of Smoothbark Drive, near East 38th Street and North German Church Road, shortly before 12:30 a.m. Jan. 1.
Officers arrived and found a 47-year-old woman who had a graze wound from a gunshot. The victim is said to be in "good condition," according to IMPD.

1 injured on southwest side
Officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 5100 block of Sandy Forge Drive, near Mann and West Mills roads, around 11:30 p.m. Dec. 31.
Officers arrived and found a 37-year-old man who had been shot. The victim was last reported to be in critical condition, according to IMPD.
