INDIANAPOLIS โ IMPD officers arrested two teenagers for guns after a car chase and crash on Sunday.
According to police, on Jan. 28, officers spotted a stolen car near 30th Street and Sherman Drive. Officers did not chase the stolen car at the time, citing department policy.
Later, officers learned the stolen car was connected to a stolen firearm investigation in Lawrence.
Officers were then able to find the stolen car again, and a chase began after the driver refused to stop. The pursuit ended when the car crashed in the 5000 block of Fall Creek Road, near East 71st Street and Hague Road.
Officers arrested two teenagers, a 15-year-old and 17-year-old.
Officers also recovered two guns, one of which was confirmed stolen.
One of the teenagers suffered minor injuries during the crash. Both were arrested on preliminary charges for dangerous possession of a firearm by a minor and resisting law enforcement.
