Indianapolis man, woman arrested for bank robbery in Dearborn County

GREENDALE, Ind. (WTHR) - State police arrested a man and woman near Indianapolis Thursday night in connection with a bank robbery in Greendale in Dearborn County.

Edward Collier, 44, and Rheonia Jackson, 24, both of Indianapolis, were arrested after a traffic stop on Interstate 74.


According to state police, a man entered the US Bank on Ridge Avenue in Greendale around 1 p.m. Thursday, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the bank teller. The teller gave the man an unknown amount of cash and he left the bank. Police described him from surveillance images as a black male wearing a hat, glasses, fake beard, gloves, and a coat depicting playing cards.

Investigators learned that he may have left in an orange Dodge Charger with a sunroof and rear spoiler, and that he may be traveling to Indianapolis.

Shortly after 4 p.m. a trooper saw an orange car approaching Indianapolis on I-74 and stopped it, detaining the man and woman inside while detectives connected them to the robbery.
