An Indianapolis firefighter is in big trouble, arrested for driving under the influence for being almost twice the legal limit.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - An Indianapolis firefighter is in big trouble, arrested for driving under the influence for being almost twice the legal limit.

Metro police arrested Luke Brunson in his personally owned car.

Other drivers called 911 after reportedly seeing the 33-year-old speeding near Ferguson and Thompson roads.

We did some digging to learn more about the circumstances surrounding his arrest. Sources tell Eyewitness News that Brunson first told officers that an Uber driver fled from the car they found him in.

Brunson reportedly came clean at the hospital where police records show his blood alcohol level measured 0.15 on a portable breathalyzer test.

He goes to court next Monday.
