Indiana State Police investigates theft of firearms from vehicles in Indy, Camby

Police released surveillance photos of someone they believe may be connected to the robberies.

INDIANAPOLIS — Detectives from the Indiana State Police Indianapolis District are investigating the theft of two firearms from two separate vehicles in southwest Indianapolis and Camby, the department said Monday.

According to ISP, both thefts reportedly happened in the overnight hours, and the vehicles were parked outside of homes. In each instance, police reported a handgun was stolen. 

ISP did not specify in what neighborhoods the thefts occurred, how many cars were allegedly targeted, or what specific time they believe the firearms were stolen.

Detectives are seeking more information about the suspect seen in the photos.
