Indiana AG announces funding for Ten Point Coalition expansion

A local program to help curb violent crimes will soon be taking their efforts statewide.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - A local program to help curb violent crimes will soon be taking their efforts statewide.

Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill announced funding to help the Ten Point Coalition start branches in other cities.

"What I've seen in Indianapolis, Ten Point Coalition is community engagement directly impacting the level of crime and where homicides have dropped completely off the grid in a time when we have many homicides across the city," Hill said Wednesday.

The funding will help with start up costs for the new groups.
