INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is searching for three burglary suspects after a stolen car crashed into a south Indianapolis pawn shop early Wednesday.
The incident was reported around 4:30 a.m. Oct. 9 at First Cash Pawn in the 3300 block of South East Street, near Madison Avenue.
An IMPD spokesperson said responding officers found a stolen car, identified in a public police report as a Kia sedan, had crashed into the building, and three suspects ran from the scene after the crash.
A 13News crew found the doors to the business had been smashed in during the crash.
"Upon further investigation, it was learned that this is a business burglary," the spokesperson said in a statement. "Surveillance footage will be recovered by a detective for further review."
The police report indicates a rifle worth an estimated $800 was stolen from the business.
