INDIANAPOLIS — A man was critically injured in a shooting on Indy's near west side Sunday evening.
Around 8 p.m. on July 21, IMPD officers responded to the 1600 block of West Vermont Street, near North White River Parkway Drive West, on a report of a person shot.
Responding officers found a man who had been shot. He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, police said.
Detectives say another man, who they believe is the suspect, cut his arm crawling through a window. He was taken to the hospital and is in custody.
IMPD says there's no ongoing threat to the community in connection with the incident.
