INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened on the city's northwest side Saturday night.
Just before 11 p.m. May 18, IMPD officers responded to the shooting in the 1100 block of West 27th Street, near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and West 29th streets.
When officers arrived, they found a man who was shot and pronounced dead shortly after their arrival.
IMPD said a person of interest in the shooting had been detained. In an update, a department spokesperson said the person was released, pending further investigation after consultation with the Marion County Prosecutor's Office.
On May 20, the Marion County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 45-year-old Terrence Andre Clark.
