INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police are investigating a shooting on the city's northeast side.
According to IMPD, in the evening hours of Saturday, June 8, officers responded to the intersection of E. 40th Street and N. Butler Avenue on a report of a large party blocking the roadway.
While officers were investigating the gathering, they heard gunshots and found a woman who was shot. She was taken to a local hospital by emergency services in stable condition.
IMPD detained at least four persons of interest in connection with this incident, who were all released pending further investigation.
