IMPD investigating shooting that left 1 critically injured

INDIANAPOLIS — An investigation is underway after a shooting that left one person critically injured Wednesday afternoon.

According to IMPD, just before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, officers responded a report of a walk-in person shot at Community East Hospital, located at 1500 block of Ritter Avenue near East 16th Street and North Downey Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found a person who had been shot. Their condition was described as critical.

Police have not shared information about a possible suspect or motive at this time. It's unclear where the victim was initially shot.
