INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police are investigating a Saturday afternoon shooting in downtown Indianapolis.
According to IMPD, around 5:30 p.m. on March 16, officers were called to the 1300 block of N. Delaware Street, which is just north of Interstate 65 in downtown Indianapolis, on a report of a person shot.
Police say they found one person with a gunshot wound, but did not provide the victim's condition. IMPD says the victim has been transported to an area hospital.
Aggravated assault detectives are responding to the scene. IMPD did not release further information.
