46-year-old man shot, killed on Indy's east side

The incident happened around 7:50 p.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of North Ewing Street, near 10th Street and Sherman Drive.

INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead on the city's east side Saturday night.

According to IMPD, shortly before 8 p.m. on May 11, officers responded to a report of the shooting in the 1100 block of North Ewing Street, near 10th Street and North Sherman Drive.

Officers arrived on scene and found one person who was shot. The person was first reported to be in critical condition but was pronounced dead by medics shortly after.

On May 13, the Marion County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 46-year-old Clarence McGee.

No suspects were detained on the scene, and IMPD has not released any suspect information.
