INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD arrested a 39-year-old man on a preliminary murder charge for his alleged role in a homicide on Indianapolis' near east side Sunday morning.
Shortly after 8 a.m. Nov. 26, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of North Oxford Street, near North Rural and East Washington streets, on a report of a deceased person. Responding officers found an man with bodily trauma.
The 62-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
No further information on the man's cause of death has been released. The Marion County Coroner's Office will release the man's identity once family has been notified.
In a statement shortly after 9 p.m. Nov. 26, IMPD said a 39-year-old man had been arrested in the case.
