INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating a deadly shooting in the 700 block of King Avenue, near North Tibbs Avenue and West 10th Street.
The shooting happened Thursday afternoon around 2 p.m.
When officers first arrived, they said they found a man shot and he was in critical condition.
Just minutes later, IMPD gave an update saying the man had died at the scene.
The Marion County Coroner's Officed identified the dead man as 41-year-old Jamael Carter, Sr.
IMPD did not release any information on the motive for the shooting, the victim's identity or details about a suspect.
