INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police have made an arrest following a shooting Friday afternoon on the city's north side.
According to a release from IMPD, shortly before 4 p.m. on June 7, officers responded to the 2900 block of Dr. Andrew J. Brown Avenue, which is near 30th Street and Ralston Avenue on Indy's north side, on a report of a person shot.
Officers arrived on scene and one victim who had been shot. The victim was reported to be in stable condition.
IMPD initially said it had detained one person during the initial investigation, but at the time was unsure what the person's role was. Later, around midnight that same day, IMPD announced it had arrested a 31-year-old for battery with a deadly weapon.
