INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD arrested three people after seizing drugs and guns last weekend on the city's near west side.
Officers conducted an investigation on Sunday, Aug. 18 of a known felon who was believed to be dealing drugs.
Later that day, police said detectives saw a vehicle leave a home in the 1000 block of North Holmes Ave.
Officers said they conducted a traffic stop on the car where they found a firearm and drugs inside. They then detained the driver, 27-year-old Joshua Canales-Martinez.
After the traffic stop, IMPD went to the home Canales-Martinez had just left and found 14 people inside.
Of those people, police found two known felons, 24-year-old Katherine Maldonado and 31-year-old Mario Gutierrez.
Over the course of the investigation, investigators recovered a total of five loaded firearms, suspected marijuana, meth, cocaine and other items used in the distribution and sale of drugs.
Maldonado was arrested for dealing marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
Gutierrez was arrested for dealing meth and dealing marijuana.
Canales-Martinez was arrested for possession of meth, possession of cocaine, dealing marijuana and unlawful carrying of a handgun.
