3 men shot in west Indy incident, 1 critical

It happened around 8:30 p.m. Thursday near 38th Street & Dandy Trail, police said.

INDIANAPOLIS — An investigation is underway after three men were shot on Indianapolis' west side Thursday.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 3900 block of Wind Drift Drive East, near 38th Street & Dandy Trail.

Few details were immediately available, but an IMPD spokesperson said officers investigating a report of a shooting found two men who had been shot. One of the victims was reported to be in critical condition. The other man was reported to be in stable condition, police said.

A short time later, police found another man shot in the area of 44th Street & Moller Road, not far from the Wind Drift Drive scene. That man was reported to be in stable condition, according to IMPD. A spokesperson said detectives are still investigating but that this third victim is "likely related" to the incident on Wind Drift.
