INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after a man was fatally shot in downtown Indianapolis Sunday afternoon.
The shooting was reported just before 1 p.m. Nov. 17 in the 500 block of East Market Street, at The E'Laan Apartments.
Police said 20-year-old Ty'shaun M. Williams was shot and killed on the third floor of the building. Officers believe a disturbance before the shooting started inside an apartment and spilled out into a hallway or common area.
IMPD said they detained a woman in connection to the shooting, but she has since been released pending a further investigation. Police aren't looking for any other suspects.
Detectives believe this is a domestic-related incident.
