INDIANAPOLIS — Police are investigating a shooting on Indianapolis' southwest side that left one person dead.
It happened around 9 p.m. Wednesday in the 2600 block of South Lynhurst Drive.
A Metro Police spokesperson said officers investigating a call about a shooting found a victim with an apparent gunshot wound.
The person was pronounced deceased.
The spokesperson said the victim was a female but no other information was available.
There was no immediate word as to whether police had identified a suspect in the case, nor whether a motive had been determined.
