INDIANAPOLIS — A person is dead after a shootout in downtown Indy early Saturday morning.
Just after 3 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, IMPD officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Indiana Avenue, near Indiana University Indy's campus, on a report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they said they found two victims with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound(s).
One victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and has unfortunately been pronounced dead. The second victim was also transported to a local hospital and was last reported to be awake and breathing.
IMPD told 13News the shooting happened between two vehicles. The Taco Bell was also shot at, one worker said everyone inside is okay.
