1 critical, teenager arrested in shooting on Indy's north side

The shooting happened early Saturday morning, according to police.

INDIANAPOLIS — One person is in critical condition after a shooting on Indianapolis' north side early Saturday.

The shooting happened around 1 a.m. in the 9400 block of Thornapple Lane, which is just southwest of the intersection at 96th Street and Allisonville Road.

Few details were immediately available, but an IMPD spokesperson said officers responding to a report of the incident found a person who had been shot. The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

IMPD detectives arrested and detained a 17-year-old for his alleged involvement in the incident.
