GREENWOOD, Ind. (WTHR) — Police in Johnson County responded to a call in Johnson County on July 4 from a man who said a woman crashed into his mailbox.
Authorities eventually arrested Michelle Cooley for the crash, but the moments leading up to it were pretty strange.
The witness told police he watched the woman get out of the car after the crash and say "I can do this," then she ran away.
When officers arrived they found Cooley's ID in the passenger seat of the car.
It turns out she lives less than a mile away from the crash.
According to the police report when an officer found her Cooley repeatedly refused to take a breathalyzer test, and on her drive to the jail she allegedly made sexual advances toward the officer.
She was booked on preliminary charges of operating while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a crash and coercion.
