Grant County men arrested after dog freezes to death in cage

MARION, Ind. (WTHR) - Two men in Grant County are facing charges, accused of leaving a dog outside to freeze to death.

"Lady" was found frozen inside a cage in a wooded area near Marion last January.

According to our partners at The Chronicle Tribune, one of Lady's owners, 40-year-old Edward Wheatley Junior, was arrested for animal cruelty and false informing.

His daughter's boyfriend, 20-year-old Dakota Dudley, was also arrested. He lived with them at the time.

A third suspect, Robert Kirkland Junior, also faces charges for allegedly lying to investigators.
