Former Hancock County teacher charged with providing drugs, alcohol to students

Police said the former teacher provided the students with drugs and alcohol while employed at two school districts in Hancock County.

GREENFIELD, Ind. — Police arrested a former teacher Thursday after they said he provided drugs and alcohol to students. 

Police said 45-year-old Brock Wedgeworth taught at Mt. Vernon School Corporation and New Palestine Schools in Hancock County. 

Police said Wedgeworth provided drugs and alcohol multiple times to former students whom he had met during his employment as a teacher. 

The Greenfield Police Department had been investigating Wedgeworth for months. 

The Hancock County Prosecutor's Office charged Wedgeworth with four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
