FRANKLIN, Ind. (WTHR) - Daniel Nations, who was questioned by Indiana State Police last year as a person of interest in the murders of Abby Williams and Libby German near Delphi, is back in Indiana to face unrelated charges in Johnson County.
Indiana State Police said in October 2017 Nations was "neither included nor excluded as a suspect in the investigation," and a spokesperson said that remains the case now.
A source inside Indiana State Police told WTHR Sunday that Nations "is not on the radar for the Delphi murders."
Nations was questioned last year as a person of interest after he was arrested in Colorado for reportedly threatening at least one person with a hatchet there. He eventually pleaded guilty to menacing and possession of a weapon in exchange for two other charges being dropped in that Colorado case.
He was charged in Johnson County in September 2017 for failure to register as a sex or violent offender. Nations just returned to Indiana this month to face those charges.
