FISHERS, Ind. — Police in Fishers are searching for a woman who allegedly struck a teenager with her Jeep earlier this month.

The Fishers Police Department posted surveillance photos of the woman on Facebook Wednesday, asking for the public's help in identifying her.

Police say the woman struck the teen with her silver Jeep Wrangler as he was riding his bike near the Village Pantry on 116th Street near Brooks School Road on Aug. 2. According to the post, the woman did not stop at the scene or notify police, which is required by state law.

The teenager was hospitalized with superficial injuries, police said.

Fishers police are looking to identify this woman, who they say struck a teen bicyclist, then left the scene.

A man driving in the area Wednesday told 13News the road where the incident happened is known to be a busy one, but he's still surprised it happened.

"A decent human being would have called 911, the very least and bare minimum," he said. "It's very unfortunate that the person did that. It's very unfortunate the incident happened. If the person had any decency, they would turn themselves in."
