INDIANAPOLIS — A woman died after she was hit by two cars on the east side of Indianapolis late Wednesday night.
Linda Kimbrough, 58, was hit on E. 30th Street, just east of N. Sherman Drive, around 11:45 p.m.
Police say Kimbrough was first hit by a blue 2000-2007 Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable.
As she tried to get out of the road after being hit, she was struck by a dark colored 2008-2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Both the Jeep and the other car did not stop.
The Taurus/Sable will have damage to the passenger side, including missing the passenger side mirror. Damage to the Jeep may not be as obvious, but it will have extensive damage to the inside of the front wheel-well on the driver’s side.
A sister of the victim told police Kimbrough was visiting friends when she was told to move her car out of a no parking area on the street. She moved the car to a nearby parking lot and was struck a short distance away from her vehicle.
