“He walked in, he said get on the ground, get on the (profanity) ground,” the victim said. “He is tripping. He puts all the kids on the ground."

Once inside they reportedly forced the entire family to the floor at gunpoint including a two-year-old boy.

In all there were about five children in the house along with three to four adults.

The victims told police the suspect stole jewelry, a small amount of cash and cell phones.

The man with the handgun snatched the bracelet and necklace from the mother who answered the door. He also demanded her two diamond rings, one of which which was from her husband and the other was a keepsake from her deceased sister.

While in the bathroom, one of the woman's grandsons heard the robbers yelling and called 911.

“If they came at us like that at four in the afternoon, they are going to hurt somebody,” the victim said.

When the pair left the house the husband followed them down the street but retreated after the male suspected opened fire in him.

The family said officers responded to the house within minutes.

But the man and woman robbers managed to leave the house before officers arrived on scene.
