INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis police are investigating after a man was shot and killed late Tuesday on the city's far east side.
The shooting happened just after 11 p.m. Feb. 20 in the 10200 block of Catalina Drive, which is near East 38th Street and North Mitthoefer Road.
Few details were immediately available, but an IMPD spokesperson said officers investigating a report of a shooting found an man near a parked car with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Feb. 21, the Marion County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 23-year-old Edwin Jaquan Smith.
Police have not shared information about a possible suspect or motive at this time.
