INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Eighteen people are behind bars - including a Delaware County deputy - after a months-long investigation into a large central Indiana narcotics operation.
The investigation began in March. Police served 14 search warrants earlier this week with cooperation from Muncie, Marion County, Delaware County, Homeland Security and state police. They found a pound of heroin, five ounces of meth, 20 grams of cocaine, 15 pounds of marijuana, nearly $90,000 in cash, seven handguns, three rifles and a shotgun.
Indiana State Police arrested 17 people based on those warrants, most facing serious drug related charges:

- Michael Campbell, 45 (was also wanted on an unrelated warrant)

- Danny Terry, 33
- Alysia Muir, 24

- Letha Kersey, 34
- Vera Kersey, 58
A parallel investigation conducted by the Muncie Police Department Narcotics Unit also led to the arrest of Delaware County Deputy Jerry Parks. Authorities have not yet explained his alleged involvement.
