INDIANAPOLIS — Authorities have ruled the death of a man found shot on the near north side of Indianapolis a homicide.
On Thursday, Dec. 14, just before 11 a.m., IMPD North District officers responded to the 2200 block of North Illinois Street on a report of a person shot.
IMPD homicide detectives responded to the scene to begin the investigation. The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency responded to identify and collect potential forensic evidence, according to IMPD.
On Friday, the Marion County Coroner’s Office ruled the investigation to be a homicide. The man was identified as 44-year-old John Randolph Bonilla Jr.
