JACKSON COUNTY, Indiana — A 29-year-old woman has been arrested in Jackson County for the alleged poisoning of her mother's husband.
The investigation started after the suspect's mother reported Sept. 19 to the Jackson County Sheriff's Department that her home on North State Road 135 had been burglarized.

Officers arrived at the mother's home and found her dead with no signs of violence.
On Oct. 17, officers spoke with the suspect, who allegedly confessed to ordering ethylene glycol on the internet, but she said her mother was the one who put the ethylene glycol in the man's drink.
Anyone with additional information on the investigation is asked to contact Sheriff Rick Meyer at the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department at 812-358-2141.
