INDIANAPOLIS — A Brownsburg man has been sentenced to nine years in federal prison after pleading guilty to possession of child sex abuse material.

According to court documents, in June 2021, Mario Parker, 22, was sharing sexually explicit photos and videos through the messaging app Kik with a person living in California.

Court documents show that Parker learned the person he was messaging worked in a day care and had a sexual interest in children. Parker then asked the person to send him sexually explicit images and videos of the children in the day care.

Parker admitted in one of the messages that he wanted to adopt a daughter so he could rape them.

Officers executed a federal search warrant of Parker's Brownsburg home on June 30, 2022. During the search, officers found a cellphone that contained several sexual images of children as young as 3 being forcefully tied down and raped by adult men. Bestiality content was also found on the cellphone.

Officers say they located thousands of images of child pornography, along with almost 900 videos of child sex abuse from Parker's digital accounts.

Parker admitted to investigators that he used social media apps Kik, Snapchat and Telegram to share child porn with other users.

A federal judge ordered Parker to pay $24,000 in restitution to his victims and also ordered probation supervision for 10 years following his release.

“This pedophile revictimized hundreds of children across the world, many of whom we will never know. Even more disturbing, communicated with other like-minded criminals, sharing these horrific videos and their sick desires to perpetrate these abuses on even more children,” said Zachary A. Myers, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana. “Sexual abuse of children is more widespread than decent people understand, especially the proliferation of abuse images online. Our federal prosecutors will continue to partner with the FBI to identify these criminals, and work to put them where they cannot harm any more of our children.”
