Body pulled from pond near Indianapolis golf course

Someone saw the body in a pond in the 2000 block of Golf Stream Drive and called 911 just before 4 p.m. Tuesday.

INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD homicide detectives are investigating after a body was pulled from a pond near an east side golf course in Indianapolis Tuesday afternoon. 

Someone called 911 just before 4 p.m. Sept. 3 after seeing a body in a pond in the 2000 block of Golf Stream Drive, near East 21st Street and North German Church Road.

An Indianapolis Fire Department recovery team pulled the body from the water. Police believe the body is an adult's. 

Both IMPD homicide detectives and the Marion County coroner are investigating. 

Police do not know how long the body was in the water.
