Bargersville golf course offering reward for information about weekend vandalism

Steve Knieper has owned Bluff Creek Golf Course since 1997, and he believes it was multiple people who committed the crime.

BARGERSVILLE, Ind. — Bluff Creek Golf Course in Bargersville needs help catching whomever vandalized their property Sunday morning, causing more than $50,000 in damages.

The course's owner, Steve Knieper, told 13News the suspects even started fires.

Surveillance video at the golf course captured the moment a pickup truck and two mowers burst into flames shortly after 5 a.m. on Feb. 11.

"2001 Dodge truck of mine. We used it to pick up material and everything," Knieper said.

"Anywhere between the $50,000 to $60,000 range of damage when we have to redo our lines. Somehow, this got heated up and broke this off," Knieper said.

He plans to make sure it doesn't happen again.
